Shared Items

Shared and hidden content organization

Shared Content

TelemetryOS shared content centralizes Media and Applications for access across all playlists. Content resides in organized folders, with modifications automatically propagating to every instance. Shared content removal from playlist pages preserves originals in designated folders for reuse.

Application Sharing

Applications created through the Application tab receive shared status by default. The toggle control on the right side of the page preview interface modifies shared status. The Application creation page includes a Shared button for adding shared Applications to playlists with folder organization.

Media Sharing

Media sharing occurs through the Shared Content tab, which automatically applies shared status to uploaded items. The shared media button incorporates shared media into playlists from the available shared content library.

Hidden Content

Hidden content includes all content created directly on playlist pages without shared status. This content exists exclusively on its originating page. Hidden content removal permanently deletes it from the account, maintaining clean and structured content folders.

Content Type Purposes

Shared Content supports consistency and reusability across multiple playlists and pages. Modifications and updates maintain uniformity, making this approach valuable for frequently used elements or standardized materials.

Hidden Content serves one-time use materials within individual playlists. This approach prevents accumulation in shared content folders and separates broad-application content from limited-scope items.

Playlist Duplication

Playlist duplication handles shared content through two approaches. The Copy Shared Contents toggle (default off) preserves connections to existing shared content, propagating modifications across all playlists using the same shared elements.

Activating Copy Shared Contents generates new copies of shared content specifically for the duplicated playlist, isolating future modifications from other playlists.

Shared and hidden content distinctions enable effective organizational strategies, maintaining consistency while streamlining content management workflows.
