Device Warnings

The online, offline, and inactive icons on your device screens

Device Status Indicators

Status icons display network and connectivity state in the corner of device screens, providing immediate visual feedback about device operational status and enabling rapid troubleshooting of connectivity issues.

Offline status occurs when devices stop communicating with the TelemetryOS platform. The CMS detects missing heartbeat signals and marks devices as offline when regular connection intervals lapse without communication.

Active status indicates successful network reconnection after offline periods. Active icons appear for approximately 10 seconds following reconnection, confirming restored connectivity before disappearing.

Inactive status applies to registered devices that neither communicate nor report health telemetry to the platform. Inactive devices don't check in, aren't online, and don't run content. These devices remain unable to receive deployments until they reconnect or undergo reactivation.

Device Filtering Controls

Device list filtering uses status icons (Online, Offline, Inactive) at the bottom of the Devices screen, toggling visibility for each status category. This filtering enables focused device management by status type.

Search functionality and pagination controls support device discovery across large fleets, enabling keyword search and page-by-page navigation through complete device inventories.
