Auto Advance
Auto-Advance Architecture
Auto-advance functionality controls automatic playlist page progression based on content completion rather than fixed time intervals. This content-aware advancement ensures pages transition only after media playback finishes, eliminating premature page changes or excessive wait times.
Auto-advance availability and behavior varies based on page media configuration:
Single Image Behavior
Single-image pages do not support auto-advance—images lack intrinsic duration signals indicating "completion". Fixed duration configuration is time-based progression control for single-image pages, specifying display time before advancing to the next page.
Single Video Behavior
Single-video pages support auto-advance activation. When enabled, auto-advance monitors video playback duration and triggers page progression after video completion. This content-driven timing ensures viewers see complete video content without manual duration specification.
Multiple Media and Media Folder Behavior
Pages containing multiple media items or media folders support auto-advance with interval configuration. Interval settings specify display duration for each media item within the page.
Auto-advance cycles through all media items at the configured interval, then advances to the next page after the final media item completes. This behavior creates self-paced pages where progression timing depends on media count and interval duration (e.g., 5 images × 10-second interval = 50-second page duration).
Media duplication strategies combined with auto-advance control precise page timing—duplicating shorter videos or images extends page duration without creating additional page structures.
